Go to the shopDr. Domenico Ricucci received his degree in General Medicine from “La Sapienza” University of Rome in 1982 and his DDS from the same university in 1985. Since then he has maintained private practices limited to endodontics. He was Professor of Cariology at “Magna Graecia” University of Catanzaro, Italy, in 2002–2003, and served on the Research Committee of the European Society of Endodontology from 1999 to 2005.
His main research interest is how the pulp and periapical tissues react to caries and treatment: vital pulp therapy, biofilms in endodontic infections, the causes of root canal treatment failure, pulp regeneration and revascularization. Since 1998 he has run his own histology laboratory, with considerable skill in hard tissue preparation for light microscopy.
Dr. Ricucci has published more than 100 papers and lectures nationally and internationally. He is the author of the textbook and atlas “Endodontology. An integrated biological and clinical view”, and the founder and scientific director of the international endodontic project Endo Sapiens.
